Recently I've noticed a trend for large amplifiers. This is great for business but usally stupid. We have amps that can produce a true 4000 watts, but it needs close to 400 amps to do it. Most cars only produce 20 to 50 extra amps,(power not needed by the cars factory components). So if you have to buy a large amp be prepared to but alot of other stuff to make it work correctly. If you don't buy these acc. be prepared for failure(smoke). It would be better to choose more efficient components. A perfect example would be a show we went to where a Honda hatchback with one 12" sub in a vented enclosure and 400 watts beat a Prowler with six 15" and thousands of watts.
